Overview
A roof replacement is a full tear-off: every layer of old roofing comes off down to the deck, the deck itself gets inspected and repaired where needed, and a complete new system goes on, underlayment included. It is a different job from a repair, and it is the right call in a specific set of situations, most often after hail or wind damage that an adjuster has scoped as a full replacement, or when a roof has simply reached the end of its expected life and repairs have stopped being cost-effective.
We install every major residential system: standing-seam and other metal roofing, clay and concrete tile, DaVinci synthetic slate, and both composition and designer architectural shingles. Which one makes sense depends on the home, the budget, and in some cases the HOA. We’ll walk through the options on-site rather than pushing one product line.

How a Replacement Runs
- Tear-off — Old roofing comes off down to the deck, and the deck gets a real inspection, not a glance.
- Deck repair — Any soft, rotted, or damaged decking is replaced before anything new goes on top of it.
- Underlayment — Ice-and-water membrane and synthetic underlayment go down per manufacturer spec, not the minimum code allows.
- Install — New material goes on to manufacturer installation standards, which is what keeps the warranty valid.
- Cleanup & walkthrough — Magnetic nail sweep, debris haul-off, and a final walkthrough before we call it done.
The Class 4 Impact-Resistant Upgrade
Class 4 shingles are built to hold up to hail better than standard shingles, and most Texas insurance carriers offer a premium discount for installing them. On qualifying replacement jobs, we include the upgrade to Class 4 impact-resistant shingles at no additional cost. Ask us whether your job qualifies and what the discount typically looks like with your carrier.
